The incident took place on September 8 in Jelenia Góra. The victim was walking down the street when he lost his bank card. A 28-year-old suspect found it and did not hesitate to use it: he paid for shopping with someone else’s card at least seven times. The owner estimated his losses at nearly PLN 300.
The 28-year-old was arrested. He confessed. What is more, it emerged that the suspect was wanted because he had a five-month prison sentence to serve for other offenses.
The man now faces up to 10 years behind bars.
