On Saturday, December 6, the 7th Football Tournament for the District Police Chief’s Cup in Bolesławiec was held in the gymnasium of the Primary School in Nowogrodziec. The competition was opened by Grzegorz Chirowski, chief of the Bolesławiec police, and Nowogrodziec Mayor Robert Relich.
Eight teams took part in the competition, including a team representing district councillors. After a fierce contest, the team from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra won. The police officers from Polkowice finished second, while the officers from Bolesławiec came third.
The winners were presented with awards by Janina Piestrak-Babijczuk, Chairwoman of the City Council, and Deputy Mayor Maciej Małkowski. The tournament’s most prolific player was an officer from Jelenia Góra. A police officer from Polkowice was named the best player, while Piotr Hodowany from the district councillors’ team was named the best goalkeeper. The team from the Jawor police headquarters received the fair play award.
