The officer was on her way to work on Thursday morning. At one point, she noticed a person lying on the pavement with a bicycle beside him. She therefore parked her vehicle in a safe place and ran to the man to see what had happened.
At the same time, two women who had been sitting on a bench near the spot where the man fell off his bicycle also approached him. The women had seen him riding the bicycle earlier, swaying from side to side.
It turned out that the man had suffered an epileptic seizure. The policewoman and the women mentioned above provided assistance, protecting him from injury until the ambulance arrived.
The 48-year-old man has suffered from epilepsy for several years. He was taken to hospital and examined by doctors. After being given medication, he was discharged home.
