Police officers specialising in combating economic crime received information that one of the companies operating in Legnica was selling counterfeit toys online. The officers went to the company’s premises. It turned out that the toys found in boxes and bags were indeed counterfeit. What is more, they had been unlawfully marked with the trademarks of well-known companies.
In total, the police secured more than two thousand toys and over five hundred sets of counterfeit foot files made by a well-known company. The value of the seized goods exceeds PLN 120,000.
The 39-year-old company owner was questioned but refused to provide an explanation. She could now face up to two years in prison.
