At the August session of the Bolesławiec City Council, there was also discussion of the fact that the Municipality of Bolesławiec is considering purchasing the building on Zgorzelecka Street, which currently houses the Powiatowy Zespół Szkół i Placówek Specjalnych. (The special school, as we have reported repeatedly, will be moved to the building of Primary School No. 2.)
If the City buys the property on Zgorzelecka Street, the Museum of Ceramics will move there from the building on Kutuzowa Street.
“The museum is suffocating there; there is not enough space, and the property on Zgorzelecka Street is of great historical value,” explained Piotr Roman. “Besides, we want to make use of the property and its park. It would provide excellent facilities for the Museum.”
The mayor added that the City wants to help the County in this way, because the money from selling the building on Zgorzelecka Street would be used to construct an operating block at the Bolesławiec ZOZ.
