On 24 August, at around 2:30 p.m., officers detained a 32-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra on Podchorążych Street. He had a small ziplock bag containing marijuana.

Several hours later, in the Zabobrze area, they noticed a man who began behaving nervously and changed direction when he saw the officers on bicycles. The police decided to check the reason for his behavior.

It turned out that the 23-year-old had amphetamine in his pocket and marijuana (40 retail portions) as well as 28 ecstasy tablets in his backpack. What is more, it emerged that the man was wanted on a warrant issued by the District Court in Jelenia Góra. (He had been temporarily detained for two months for… drug-related offenses.) The 23-year-old was arrested and then taken to a remand detention center.

Both detainees could now face up to three years in prison.
