A district police officer, together with officers from Kowary, caught a 30-year-old man suspected of theft in the act. On 17 August, taking advantage of the staff’s inattention at a discount grocery store, the man stole property worth PLN 600: a backpack and 24 packs of socks.
Security guards, suspecting that the 30-year-old did not intend to pay for the goods, notified the police. Officers arrested the thief.
It turned out that the man had been repeatedly detained for thefts throughout the county. The man himself said that he steals anything that falls into his hands.
The 30-year-old now faces up to 5 years in prison.
