The incident occurred during the night from Saturday to Sunday. Police officers chased a drunk 20-year-old who was fleeing from them by car through the city centre. They pursued him along Tysiąclecia, Spółdzielcza and Piastów streets, among others. On the last of these streets, the drunk driver crashed into the fence of a single-family home with great force. He wrecked the car. At first glance, he himself sustained only minor injuries.
Fortunately, the young man was driving alone and did not kill anyone along the way.
An ambulance arrived at the scene and treated the driver. However, he remained at the scene and did not go to hospital.
