Programming courses help children develop their own passions and will also be an excellent start for the future. A good programmer or computer graphic designer will find attractive and secure employment anywhere. Eurostat estimates that there is a shortage of more than 50,000 coders (programmers) in our market.
Programming is the language of the future. People will find it easier to navigate the world ruled by new technologies if they begin their programming adventure earlier. In this way, they will become conscious users of new digital solutions instead of passive consumers.
Learning programming is easy at the Creativity Laboratory!
The qualified staff Creativity Laboratory with pedagogical training have the appropriate tools, methods, software and skills to turn young computer users into young programmers. It is a model example of a technological centre where young people become creators and designers and feel at ease in an environment of modern technologies.
The courses at the Creativity Laboratory are intended for enthusiasts of computer games, computer science, robots and modern technologies. They are also an option for young people who do not fully use their potential and passion for computers.
During the courses, children will gain reliable knowledge, use their creativity, develop logical thinking and learn to make good decisions more easily. All of this will take place in an attractive format based on teamwork and play, without grades or pressure.
Four types of courses at the Creativity Laboratory
Classes will begin in October and run throughout the year. They will take place once a week for two lessons with a break. Groups will consist of eight participants; each participant will have their own workstation with a computer equipped with licensed computer-graphics software, specialist software and robots available for use. Classes will be offered for four age groups: 6–8, 9–11, 12–14 and 15–19.
Programming and robotics courses
Programming involves, among other things, the ability to analyse. A programmer must take many aspects into account and anticipate the consequences of using selected solutions. Programming helps people navigate the world of technology, teaches logical thinking and supports creativity. During classes, children analyse and eliminate the causes of problems and exchange experiences with one another. They learn that one problem can be approached in different ways. Searching for these paths is a fascinating adventure and a form of play.
This is learning through play. A robot programmed independently is a source of pride and a great, creative form of entertainment. Robots motivate children to work because every completed task immediately produces a visible result. Children learn through trial and error. In this way, they develop skills and gain a sense of agency. Learning begins with operating a robot and ends with independently programming its behaviour. It is also language learning, because the English-language application prepares them to use more advanced programmes in the future.
Graphics courses
In this course, children learn creativity. They become familiar with professional graphics-editing programmes and stimulate their imaginations. Participants develop their artistic talents. The course begins with learning about the programmes and ends with designing advertising and multimedia materials.
