The Municipal Police Headquarters duty officer received a report that a man was stealing windshield wipers from vehicles parked on Chłapowskiego and Roosevelta streets in Legnica. A patrol from the preventive division immediately went there.
It turned out that the 19-year-old vandal was walking down the middle of the street and tearing windshield wipers off parked vehicles. In this way, he damaged 32 cars.
What is more, it emerged that the teenager was drunk. He had more than 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled breath. He was taken to a sobering-up station.
When he sobered up, he was unable to explain why he had started tearing off the windshield wipers. The teenage vandal now faces up to 5 years in prison.
