On 24 July, at the prosecutor’s request, the District Court in Zgorzelec remanded a 25-year-old man suspected of murder in custody. The victim’s body was found on 20 July on the grounds of a property in Radomierzyce, near Zgorzelec. The deceased had head injuries.
It was established that the crime was committed on 19 July. The 25-year-old struck his father several times with an axe. The injured man died as a result of his injuries.
Police officers arrested Rafał S., who was charged with murder. After carrying out the procedural steps, the prosecutor’s office submitted a request to the District Court in Zgorzelec for the suspect to be remanded in custody for three months. The court granted the investigators’ request.
The 25-year-old could face life imprisonment.
