Before noon, President Andrzej Duda vetoed two bills proposed by Law and Justice: one concerning the Supreme Court and one concerning the National Council of the Judiciary. People across Poland, including in Bolesławiec, had urged him to do so.

Three protests were held in our city, the last one taking place yesterday. Today we received information that people want to meet spontaneously outside the courthouse at 8:00 p.m. This time, it will probably not be a protest, but rather a chance to sum up the campaign so far and perhaps also express appreciation for President Duda’s decision.
