In Bolesławiec, as in other cities across Poland, people gathered outside the courthouse. The Chain of Light action began at 9:00 p.m. It is an expression of opposition to PiS’s policies, particularly the reform of the judiciary (the Supreme Court). This was already the second such action outside the District Court in Bolesławiec. Earlier, a group of several dozen people gathered on Sunday, July 16.

More than 150 people protested outside the court in Bolesławiec. They sang the national anthem and chanted slogans including: "Constitution, constitution," "Down with Kaczor the dictator," and "We want the President’s veto."

The protesters arranged another demonstration outside the court. It is scheduled for Sunday, July 23, also at 9:00 p.m.
