On Tuesday, 18 July, at 5:50 p.m., officers from the Legnica traffic police received information that a MAN vehicle was travelling along the A4 motorway, taking up the entire width of the carriageway.

At kilometre 76 of the A4, near the exit to Chojnów, the officers noticed a vehicle driving in a slalom pattern, from the left to the right edge of the road. They stopped it for a traffic check

It turned out that the truck driver, a 48-year-old resident of Świdnica, was completely drunk. The test showed nearly 3‰ of alcohol in the 48-year-old man's system. The man's driving licence was confiscated.

The driver was reportedly transporting a load to one of the towns in Great Britain. The 48-year-old now faces up to two years in prison.
