Police officers detained a serial thief. From April to May, the suspect committed at least nine thefts in Jelenia Góra County. He robbed two allotment gardens and stole aluminium and copper downpipes, as well as copper windowsills. He is also accused of stealing copper roofing sheet from the roof of a church in Barcinek (Stara Kamienica commune).
The officers recovered some of the stolen property. However, the 20-year-old had already sold all the metal items at a scrap-metal collection point.
The young man faces up to five years in prison.
