On May 13 and 14, regattas held as part of the Wrocław Youth Olympics took place at the Osobowice Reservoir in Wrocław, at the UKS Żeglarz base. Competitors from sailing clubs across Lower Silesia, including Bolesławiec, competed.
Our city’s modest five-person team performed very well. The sailors from the Sail Swim Bolesławiec Sailing School competed in the Optimist class. Results:
- Jagoda Krzan – second place in the girls’ category for those born in 2004–2007
- Wincenty Grochowski – first place in the boys’ category for those born in 2002 and 2003.
The remaining places were taken by competitors born in 2004–2007: Adam Bronowicz, Jakub Adamowicz and Jakub Pasieka. The regatta section’s training sessions are held at Krępnica by PZŻ instructor Jakub Jakubowski.
