Jelenia Góra police officers detained a 40-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man suspected of theft. The detainees are Vietnamese citizens who currently live in the Czech Republic. The couple specialized in stealing from clothing stores in several counties. They operated in Jelenia Góra, Zgorzelec, Kłodzko and Bolesławiec. The losses they caused at stores in Jelenia Góra were estimated at more than PLN 3,500.
The duo was caught when they tried once again to rob one of the stores in Jelenia Góra. (The staff recognized the thieves.)
Police officers are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case in detail and determining what the detainees did with the stolen property. The Vietnamese couple now faces up to 5 years in prison.
