On Tuesday, 9 May, police officers from Pieńsk stopped two drunk drivers from continuing to drive. The first was caught by officers in Ruszów. The 31-year-old resident of the town had nearly 1.2 per mille of alcohol in his breath.

The second, a 41-year-old resident of Piaseczno, was stopped for a roadside inspection in Węgliniec. He had as much as 2.1 per mille of alcohol in his system.

Both men now face up to two years in prison.
