The incident occurred on the night of May 4–5. Unknown perpetrators tried to break into two garages on Jezierskiego Street in Bolesławiec. “The neighbors informed me that my garage had been broken into,” one of the victims told istotne.pl. The man called the police.
Fortunately, the burglars did not manage to get inside. They pried the door open by approximately 10 cm with a small crowbar.
Earlier, the thieves had tried to break into another garage. They failed there as well, damaging only the lock.
The nighttime burglars did not steal anything. Someone probably scared them off, as the crowbar was left at the scene. The police, who have announced more patrols in the area, are on the perpetrators’ trail. They face up to 10 years in prison.
