The European Picnic will take place in the amphitheatre in the Municipal Park on Tyrankiewiczów Street. We will have fun on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to midnight. As part of the event, cooking enthusiasts will compete in the Bolesławiec Barbecue Championship. It is a competition for the best grilled dish for amateurs and professionals.

Everyone interested is invited to take part in the culinary competition. Applications are accepted until 27 April at the BOK – MCC secretariat. The rules and application form are available at: www.bok.boleslawiec.pl.

During the picnic, it is worth visiting the European Commission stand, which has granted honorary patronage to the event. Military equipment, both Polish and American, will be displayed on the sports field at I LO. In addition, at the “Dog Corner” stand, representatives of Husse will provide advice on feeding, grooming and training dogs.

The amphitheatre stage will feature, among others, the Jutrzenka Folk Song and Dance Ensemble, the Mały Bolesławiec Song and Dance Ensemble from the St. Wyspiański Youth Cultural Centre, Termy Dance and the Bolesławiec Municipal Brass Band.

The concert “Spring, oh, it’s you” will feature participants from three workshops at the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre – International Ceramics Centre: the Bolesławiec Song and Dance Ensemble, the Guitar Workshop and the Vocal Workshop.

In the evening, two concerts will bring us lively entertainment and dancing. The disco-dance band Hi-Fi will perform for the Bolesławiec audience. The three-member group has been active on the music scene for seven years. Its most popular songs include “Loczki” and “Bujaj się tak!”

The band An Dreo e Karina will perform the greatest hits of the Italian duo Al Bano & Romina Power, including “Felicita”. During their 16 years on the music scene, our duo has played hundreds of concerts in Poland and abroad. (An Dreo e Karina are the winners of the European Cover Festival).

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, 3 May at 5:00 p.m. the premiere of the musical “And I Don’t… or How One Grows into Polishness in May” will take place in the Forum BOK – MCC hall. Admission is by invitation only; invitations are available at the Forum Cinema box office. Seating is limited!

The patriotic musical performance was prepared as part of a new project carried out by the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre – International Ceramics Centre, promoting the most talented young people in our region. Thirty people are taking part in the musical. The young performers will play all the music “live”, and the audience will hear well-known hits in completely new arrangements. The musical “And I Don’t… or How One Grows into Polishness in May” tells the story of young residents of Bolesławiec who belong to two different peer groups. It includes a love story focusing on Radek and Julka, who come from completely different worlds but attempt to organise a certain project together. What is it? You will find out on the premiere day!
