Across the region, there were 17 collisions during the holidays. There were no accidents, but there were fines. As many as 135 drivers received them (mainly for speeding). Four drunk drivers were taken off the roads. (They face a penalty of up to 2 years in prison.) Moreover, officers apprehended five wanted people.

On 17 April, officers also detained a 58-year-old man who got behind the wheel despite a court-imposed driving ban that remains in force until August this year; he may now face up to 3 years in prison.

In addition, during the holidays, police officers detained three drivers who drove cars despite having had their driving licences revoked. Unfortunately, there were also cases of disturbing the peace at night and domestic disputes. Officers intervened in such cases more than 250 times.
