The incident occurred on 6 April in Kozłów (Bolesławiec gmina). Traffic police officers stopped the driver of an Audi who had overtaken a police vehicle at a pedestrian crossing and was driving at 118 km/h in a built-up area. The 25-year-old resident of Żagań County had his driving licence suspended for three months. What is more, the man was fined PLN 700 and received 20 penalty points.
That day, two other drivers also lost their driving licences. Each of them received a fine and 10 penalty points.
The police remind motorists that excessive speed is one of the main causes of accidents and collisions on Polish roads. “We appeal for common sense and caution,” the officers add.
