The cultivation was located in one of Jelenia Góra’s tenement buildings. The officers discovered 188 cannabis plants and nearly 14 kg of dried cannabis. The value of the seized goods was estimated at nearly PLN 540,000. The uniformed officers also seized equipment used to grow cannabis and arrested two residents of Lower Silesia, aged 39 and 33.
The investigation is being conducted by officers from Krosno Odrzańskie under the supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra. The detained men face a prison sentence of no less than three years. Interestingly, the men will also be held responsible for stealing electricity—it was established that, to power their cultivation, the “growers” illegally drew electricity.
Property estimated to be worth PLN 100,000 was seized to cover potential future penalties.
