The incident occurred on 4 April in Bogatynia. The 35-year-old resident of Bogatynia wanted to paint the interior of his home garage. However, he did not intend to do it in the traditional way. He used aerosol paint containers and… pyrotechnic devices for this purpose.
The 35-year-old tied a firecracker to the paint containers. He lit the fuse and went outside. He stood behind the garage door and held it so that it would not accidentally open.
The force of the explosion was so great that the garage door struck the man with considerable force. The “ingenious” painter was taken to hospital. It is known, however, that he did not suffer any more serious injuries.
Police are currently establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
