The incident occurred on April 4 in Jelenia Góra. Traffic police officers detained two men, aged 28 and 20, from Jelenia Góra County, and a 25-year-old woman from Jelenia Góra. All three are suspected of theft.
The officers, who were patrolling the area around the discount store, noticed two men and a woman cross the checkout line and then leave the store with a cart filled with goods. When one of the men saw the police, he began to flee and rammed the police car with the cart.
It turned out that the suspects had not paid for the goods. The cart contained two pressure washers and chemical products. The stolen items were worth PLN 800.
The police are now investigating whether the trio has committed other similar offenses. The suspects face up to five years in prison.
