During the lesson, a student from class 3t Jakub Woźniak presented the device built as part of the project. Since the project began in 2015, the students of “Elektronik” have been working on software to help children learn simple geometry interactively. It determines the shape of an object “seen” by the computer, recognizes four basic colors, and “tracks” the coordinates of objects.

The third-graders showed printed geometric figures to the camera and also drew their own figures, which were recognized and labeled by the software.

After the device demonstration, the guests from “Jedynka” were invited to conduct simple experiments together with ZSE students. This time, the experiments focused on electricity.

– We produced, among other things, a magnetic field that magnetized a nail and attracted pins, the organizers say. – The students also tested electrical conductivity using current from a battery. The third-graders particularly enjoyed generating electricity from lemons to power a light bulb.

Experimenting together is intended to awaken students’ desire to learn through carefree play. Thanks to such initiatives, children acquire basic technical skills and, above all, develop their passions and curiosity about the world around them.

– We sincerely thank the ZSE students who helped organize the meeting, as well as the students of class 3b and their homeroom teacher for taking part in the activities, the organizers add.
