Recently, we reported that residents of Bolesławiec hold drinking binges under the bridge on Zgorzelecka Street. At the time, one of the Readers wrote on the forum:
The same problem of littering by dirtbags: [...] just take a walk across the bridge on Mostowa Street. All the filth can be seen in the afternoon; an older male crowd hurriedly heads under the bridge for a drinking party, and a pile of bottles is scattered along the riverbanks.
Here is what we saw at the site:
We have written repeatedly in these pages about the mess that dirtbags leave along the Bóbr. We have also often asked for comments on the matter—from the municipal police and from the Municipal Housing Management Office. We understand that this problem cannot be eliminated entirely. We know that officers cannot be stationed in one place around the clock. Perhaps, then—possibly somewhat naively—we should appeal to fans of drinking outdoors: when they finish partying, they should take their bottles with them and not smash them there for fun. Especially now, when spring is almost here and Bolesławiec residents will certainly visit the areas along the Bóbr more often. And quite often with small children.
What is more, in the case of the spot on Mostowa Street, the argument that there are no rubbish bins nearby does not apply. Because there is one right by the bridge!
