At the invitation of one of Jelenia Góra’s shopping galleries, police officers – Deputy Inspector Małgorzata Gorzelak and Senior Sergeant Beata Sosulska-Baran – met with women from Jelenia Góra at the Women’s Zone. The meeting focused on safety in its broadest sense. The participants had the opportunity to learn simple and reliable self-defence techniques to repel or avoid an attack.

The session also covered the psychological aspects of self-defence. The officers discussed, among other things, perpetrators of aggressive behaviour towards women and ways of dealing with dangerous situations without using force.

The police officers also presented the women with the principles of the National Safety Threats Map and instructed them on how to use it and work together to improve the safety of the region’s residents.
