The owner of a Volkswagen Transporter van notified police about the theft. The man used the vehicle at work, so it bore the logo of a courier company. Shortly after the crime was reported, police officers from Bogatynia received information that the wanted vehicle was in a forest in Porajów. The officers went to check. At the scene, they found both the stolen vehicle and the thief. The man was arrested and taken into police custody.
The 27-year-old suspect confessed to the crime. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
