All the drivers were detained by officers from the Legnica traffic police on Sunday, March 5. A few minutes after midnight, on Prusa Street in Legnica, officers caught a 33-year-old Nissan driver. The man was completely drunk. A test showed 2.7 per mille of alcohol in his system.
At around 5:30 a.m., officers took a 22-year-old Fiat driver off the road. He had been driving with nearly 2 per mille of alcohol in his system. The third driver caught driving under the influence was detained at around 8:00 p.m. in Chojnów. The Renault driver had 2.6 per mille.
All three now face up to two years in prison, a driving ban and a fine.
