On Wednesday, March 1, at around 7 p.m., an off-duty police officer from the police station in Ścinawa went shopping. In the store, he was approached by an acquaintance who worked in security. The latter told the officer that there were three people in the store who had stolen groceries several days earlier and were trying to steal something again.
After a while, the group of thieves—a 17-year-old girl and her two accomplices, aged 27 and 54—realized that they had been exposed. The police officer detained the teenager and called for reinforcements, which detained the girl’s accomplices.
All three were taken into police custody. The suspects face up to five years in prison.
