Officers from the Criminal Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra arrested a man suspected of possessing and distributing pornographic material involving minors under 15 years of age. He is a 33-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra.
The arrest took place after Jelenia Góra police officers received information from officers of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Olsztyn, who, while monitoring the internet, came across a man suspected of engaging in this practice.
The Jelenia Góra officers gathered evidence confirming the suspicion that the man might possess, in his apartment, storage media containing pornographic material involving children.
Indeed, 220 discs and 3 computers containing this type of material were found and secured in his apartment. By court decision, the 33-year-old man was remanded in custody for 3 months. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
