On Sunday, February 26, police officers carried out the Speed operation throughout the country. Officers from the Bolesławiec traffic police checked 118 vehicle drivers. As many as 107 received fines (in 99 cases for exceeding the permitted speed).
What is more, the officers checked the sobriety of nearly 370 drivers. None of them was driving under the influence.
Excessive speed remains one of the most common causes of accidents on our roads. The police appeal for prudence behind the wheel.
