The incident occurred on 16 February. At around 8:00 p.m., the Legnica police duty officer received information about an attempted break-in at one of the flower shops. At the scene, officers established a description of the perpetrator, who had smashed a window at the premises. However, he did not manage to steal anything because witnesses to the incident scared him away.
The would-be burglar was detained several minutes later. The 41-year-old resident of Legnica admitted to the crime. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
