The incident occurred on Tuesday, 14 February, on Sienkiewicza Street in Nowogrodziec. The 34-year-old resident of Nowogrodziec Municipality was driving a Peugeot too fast. On a bend in the road, he lost control of the vehicle, drove onto the pavement, hit a street lamp and struck a 59-year-old woman from Nowogrodziec. The woman was taken to hospital with a broken collarbone.
The accident’s perpetrator could face up to three years in prison.
