Officers from the Criminal Division of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec arrested a 30-year-old resident of Bolesławiec municipality suspected of stealing a vehicle. The detainee tried to steal the same car twice, but the first time he was unable to start it.
The second attempt was successful. The man drove away in the car, which he then dismantled for parts. The perpetrator had already managed to sell some of the vehicle’s components. Police recovered, among other things, the tires, windshield and bumper.
The 30-year-old has already been charged in the case and gave an explanation. Burglary carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison.
