The incident occurred on Wednesday (1 February). Police officers from Żary, who were conducting operations in Bolesławiec County, wanted to stop the driver of a Volkswagen Golf for a check. However, the driver failed to stop and began to flee. The police officers began a chase.
In Wykroty, the driver of the Golf skidded and went off the road. The man left the car and began to flee on foot. A passenger remained in the vehicle. The police have already established the driver’s identity. The man, a resident of Nowogrodziec Municipality, is wanted to serve a sentence for violating a court ban on driving vehicles. He is currently in hiding. The search is underway.
