Police officers from the Bolesławiec police headquarters are carrying out activities as part of the Winter Operation 2016/2017, whose main aim is to prevent threats to the lives and health of homeless and vulnerable people, so that everyone who needs help receives it.

The officers continuously monitor and check places where homeless people may be staying. They also pay particular attention to people under the influence of alcohol who are in circumstances threatening their lives.

The officers will provide those in need with information and all assistance in reaching facilities that help homeless people and others requiring care.

The police also appeal to all residents of our county to report every person they notice—whether under the influence of alcohol or in a similar situation that could lead to hypothermia—sitting at a bus stop or in a park. “Let us not pass such people by indifferently. In such a case, it is enough to react and notify the appropriate services,” the officers say.
