From 24 to 26 December, Jelenia Góra police officers conducted preventive operations aimed at ensuring the safety of residents of our region and tourists who visited the Jelenia Góra area during those days. The holiday period on the roads of the Jelenia Góra Valley passed relatively peacefully for the officers. There were 6 collisions, police officers issued 79 fines and detained 5 intoxicated drivers. Fortunately, there were neither accidents nor more serious criminal incidents.

In addition, officers detained 16 registration certificates due to the poor technical condition of the vehicles, 8 driving licences—including 4 for exceeding the speed limit in a built-up area—and identified two drivers with active driving bans.

During the holidays, police officers intervened both in homes and on the streets:

  • 175 interventions related to disturbing the peace at night or quarrels started by drunk people
  • 633 people were identified.
