The County's planned budget amounts to more than PLN 95 million. During the budget debate, the starost Karol Stasik drew attention to the planned use of external funds for investment. “More than PLN 28 million (30% of all expenditure) is capital expenditure allocated to investment. Thus, this is another pro-investment County budget,” officials said. “In 2017, 11 projects are planned, primarily involving the construction and reconstruction of roads. In addition, the county plans to support an investment being carried out by Gmina Gromadka and an important investment from the perspective of our county—the investment in the gmina of Łozy in Żagański County.”

During the debate, unaffiliated councillor Kazimierz Gawron pointed out that one of the most important tasks in the budget is the construction of a road and bridges in Świętoszów. He considered the launch of a comprehensive family support programme in Bolesławiec County very good news. He also spoke positively about resolving the issue of the special school’s premises.

The starost stated that although the budget was not his own, it was a good and pro-investment budget. All councillors voted in favour of adopting the County budget proposal.
