The incident occurred on Sunday, December 18, on the Łąka–Bolesławiec road. Before 11:00 a.m., the driver of a BMW, who was driving too fast, lost control of the vehicle on a bend and left the road. Neither the driver, a 46-year-old resident of Bolesławiec Municipality, nor the 23-year-old passenger was injured. It turned out that the 46-year-old was drunk; a test showed 2 per mille of alcohol in his system. He now faces up to two years in prison.
