A 39-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County suspected of numerous residential burglaries and thefts of property has been placed in police custody. The perpetrator took advantage of his victims’ sleep (or their absence), taking everything he could get his hands on—mainly jewelry and money. He carried out his crime spree from October to December.

Officers have already proven the man from Bogatynia was responsible for six offenses. The losses were estimated at nearly PLN 15,000. Police recovered some of the stolen property. The 39-year-old now faces up to 10 years in prison.
