Officers from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec arrested a 35-year-old resident of Bolesławiec. First, the vandal threw stones at a petrol station, then stole a fire extinguisher from there and fled. However, the 35-year-old’s “rampage” did not end there. A short while later, he smashed a bus stop window and used the stolen fire extinguisher and a crowbar to damage the door of the Bolesławiec courthouse. The vandal’s behaviour was recorded by surveillance cameras.
The man was arrested and questioned; he was charged with four offences. The suspect confessed to the crime but was unable to provide rational reasons for his behaviour. The damage he caused was estimated at more than PLN 7,000. He now faces up to five years in prison.
