A young woman approached a random man on the street. She asked him to buy her a meal, explaining that she was hungry. The victim invited the 26-year-old to one of the pizzerias in Zgorzelec. After they had both eaten, he paid and then went outside the establishment for a cigarette, having put his wallet in the jacket he left draped over the back of the chair. After a few minutes, the woman ran out of the restaurant. She told her benefactor that she was in a hurry to meet someone. As it turned out, she had stolen his wallet containing documents, bank cards and a small amount of money.
The 26-year-old suspect was detained. She admitted to the theft. She now faces up to five years in prison.
