“We’re still playing in green, we still won’t give up” – this was the guiding thought of the entire performance. Like ancient sages, the seniors—philosophers—tell a story about life. They share their experiences and reflections, speaking about timeless values: youth, family, love, maturity, life choices and hope. They draw on their experience, recounting touching, deeply personal stories and anecdotes. Their beautiful story about life is authentic; they recall their childhood, their parents, their youth and working years, and life’s dilemmas. The other participants in the meeting—students and teachers—listen to everything, weaving moving poetic texts, songs and pieces by Polish authors into this extraordinary dialogue.

“In my magical home, anything can happen,” sings Hanna Banaszak. Paraphrasing the words of this song, one might say: “In our extraordinary Bolesławiec, anything can happen...”. A magical atmosphere depends solely on people. The performance “We’re Still Playing in Green” proves that the timeless ability to listen to one another—adults, older people and those very young people entering adulthood—is a true value. The older generation wants to and knows how to teach others to live wisely and beautifully, while the younger generation offers many moving moments in return.

Working on the performance was an extraordinary experience for everyone. It proved that, in this case, intergenerational integration is not an advertising slogan but an authentic meeting of three generations, who worked together, learned, were moved, admired and spent magical, unforgettable time together.
