On 11 September, representatives of the city office and the county office took part in the acceptance of the works on the modernization of the pavement on Lubańska Street. The renovated section is 479 m long.
This is the first stage of an investment resulting from an agreement between the local governments (Lubańska Street is administered by the county). More than PLN 123,000 was allocated from the municipal budget for this part of the works.
In the next phase, the section from the grocery shop to the allotment gardens will be renovated. The pavement on Lubańska Street is to be extended to Bożejowice and Rakowice. The modernization works outside the city limits will be carried out by the county and the rural municipality of Bolesławiec. Once the entire investment is completed, a new pedestrian and cycle path will connect our city with the surrounding villages.
The city will allocate a total of PLN 360,000 for the modernization of the pavement and construction of the path. The county office, in turn, has undertaken to finance the renovation of county roads located in Bolesławiec. These are Ogrodowa, Łasicka and Sądowa streets. The renovation of Mickiewicza Street may also begin next year.
