The tragedy occurred on Tuesday, 22 November, on National Road 5, near Dobromierz (Świdnica County). The driver of a BMW passenger car collided with a bus. Firefighters from Świdnica County freed a person trapped inside the damaged bus and handed them over to emergency medical services. An LPR helicopter also arrived at the scene.
Three people were injured. The BMW driver died at the scene. Firefighters from the “Bolesławiec” Specialist Technical Rescue Group took part in the operation and placed the overturned bus back on its wheels. The operation lasted more than five hours.
