In an email to the editorial office, a reader wrote:
I am returning to the matter of the terrible stretch of road on Widok Street. After the previous article [...] I thought something would change, but as you can see, officials are completely ignoring their citizens. I took a preliminary look at the draft budget for 2017 and—as every year—it is just an attempt to pull the wool over both our eyes and those of the editorial office […] Unfortunately, we have not been included in the road renovation plans for next year. Good Lord, it is only 250 m, more or less.
She added: “Is it really so difficult to appreciate your residents? We do not live in some slums, so it is not as though we do not deserve anything.”
As istotne.pl is told by Iwona Mandżuk-Dudek, deputy mayor of Bolesławiec, design work is currently underway. “I cannot build a road without a permit, and in order to submit an application for such a permit, I need to have the construction design completed,” Piotr Roman’s deputy explains.
Unfortunately, a problem has arisen. The road was designed in such a way that, for the area to be equipped with utilities, including a sewer system, the work must extend onto private plots. “I spoke with the designer, and it turned out that it cannot be done in such a way that it would run only through the land belonging to the Municipal Commune,” the deputy mayor explains. The city office is currently holding talks with residents of Widok Street. “We need to reach an agreement with the residents in order to complete the design. Once that is achieved, we will look for money to build the road. For now, until I have the construction design, I do not even know how much this investment will cost,” adds Iwona Mandżuk-Dudek.
We will return to the subject.
