A 44-year-old resident of Bolesławiec rural municipality was caught by police on September 4. He was caught in the act—while weeding the plants. Officers secured 28 bushes, which reached almost two metres in height.
The cannabis was growing in the middle of the man's cornfield. The detainee told police that he was growing marijuana for his own use because it improved his well-being.
The 44-year-old now faces up to 3 years in prison.
