The incident occurred during the night of August 2–3. A 17-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County was sitting with his girlfriend on a bench in front of one of Bolesławiec’s nightclubs. At one point, three perpetrators approached them. They said, “police,” then beat the teenager and took his mobile phone, worth PLN 1,000. The girl fled and notified the officers.
Police officers arrested the thieves on Gdańska Street. All three are residents of Bolesławiec—two are 18 years old, and one is a minor. They had already been recorded by the police. Moreover, they were drunk when arrested.
The two 18-year-olds now face up to 12 years in prison. The third perpetrator will appear before the family and juvenile court.
